Ingredients (x2)
- 200 g chicken breast
- 1 pack of Scotti Venere and Jasmine quick-cooking rice
- Juice of 2 oranges
- 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
- Flour type 0, as needed
- Salt and pepper, to tasteHeat a pan over medium heat with a generous drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. While the oil is warming up, cut the chicken
breast into small bite-sized pieces and coat them in flour. You can do this by placing the flour in a bowl and mixing the chicken pieces with your hands or using two spoons. Be sure to shake off any excess flour before cooking. When the oil is hot, add the floured chicken pieces to the pan and sauté them until golden brown. Add the freshly squeezed orange juice and continue cooking until the orange sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste. For the Venere & Jasmine rice, you can simply heat it in a pan for 2 minutes or use the microwave. Serve the dish by arranging the rice and orange chicken on the plate. If desired, drizzle some extra orange juice on top for added flavor. Enjoy your meal! This dish is a wonderful balance of sweetness and zest, with the beautiful texture of Venere and Jasmine rice.
